Beckett’s Table
A quaint little neighborhood bistro, this place will surprise you once you walk through its doors. Advertised as a homestyle restaurant, you’ll feel right at home when you scan the menu and sit in the snug seats. The purveyors of Beckett’s Table chose to separate individual seating from shared tables, which allows for the opportunity to meet a few new friends while enjoying their signature cocktails and shareable appetizers. Welcome home(ish)!

Southern Rail
Similar to Beckett’s Table, (in fact owned by the same family) this classy spot offers an elegant spread of American flavors. Uniquely, Southern Rail is attached to the bookstore Changing Hands, and their accompanying bar, First Draft. These two additions make their brunch menu even more enticing, as you can chow down on some sweet potato hash before browsing through the neighboring stacks with a afternoon beer. Check out their upcoming events as well!

POMO Pizzeria
What makes POMO so special is not just the open layout or the cute italian market offerings at the entrance, but the gleaming behemoth of a pizza oven that sits in the corner. This oven was shipped directly from Naples, and constantly has golden rounds of paradise exiting its fiery mouth. While their other italian dishes are equally as tasty, the right choice here is their pizza. Trust me on that.

Taco Guild
One of the more eccentric choices on our list, Taco Guild ensures an original experience. Set in an old cathedral, you are surrounded by stained glass windows and lofty ceilings as you walk to your table. Their tequila and margarita selections are no joke, nor is the knowledge of servers and bartenders regarding any drink questions you might have. Tacos galore as well, each of which is complimented by the rustic sides that are offered. If you’re looking to shake up your Mexican food palate, this is your next stop.
